This started as a Peterbilt-only sell-price tracker and has grown into a broader heavy-truck dashboard through a few rounds of revisions. Here's what's in the current version:
- Five makes, not just Peterbilt: Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner, International, and Mack are all included — 3,945 sold trucks pulled from PurpleWave's public auction-results API over the trailing 365 days.
- Make filter & color coding: the make dropdown below the charts isolates one brand at a time; the scatter chart always colors each dot by make — Peterbilt red, Kenworth blue, Freightliner yellow, International green, Mack violet — with a legend above the chart and a matching badge in the table.
- Selectable date range: 90, 120, or 365 days, anchored to the most recent sale date in the dataset (not today's date) so the window stays meaningful even as a static snapshot.
- Clean / Wrecked toggle: trucks PurpleWave's own listing disclosures flag as wrecked, salvage-titled, or non-operational are hidden by default. Click "Wrecked/Salvage" to bring them back into every stat, chart, and table row — on their own or mixed in with clean trucks — and a Condition column/badge marks which is which.
- Corrected mileage: PurpleWave's structured "miles" API field is almost always blank, even when a listing clearly states an odometer reading. Mileage here is parsed out of each listing's description text instead, which recovered real values for the large majority of trucks (roughly 95%, versus under 5% before the fix).
- Sortable, searchable table with a free-text search box, price range, model, and category filters, plus direct links to each listing's photo and PurpleWave auction page.
